About Authentic Networking

Authentic Networking has been created
for small business businesses in West
Sussex, whether new to networking or more
experienced, by Alex Stone of Just Too Busy,
marketing consultants for small business.

Knowing very well that networking is a key
marketing strategy, both because of the
returns it has brought for her business and
because of the benefits it has had for her
clients' businesses, Alex saw a gap for a
networking group that addressed what she
believes to be the core tenets of networking:
authenticity, generosity and reciprocity.

Having relocated her business from Surrey
to West Sussex, and despite the number of
excellent networking groups in the area, Alex still felt something was missing, and that 'something' was in the way business people approached networking and the expectations they had of it.

And Authentic Networking began to take form.

Authentic Networking is at heart a networking group, for small businesses in West Sussex, with the aim of bringing in new routes to new business through the genuine creation of business relationships. This difference lies in the mindset behind it and that is where Alex hopes that the benefits will be most strongly felt.

The main aim of Authentic Networking is to bring together like-minded business people in West Sussex, who truly want to network, not just to add contacts to their address book, but to expand the group of business people they know, for a useful purpose on the part of everyone involved. Building on this in a long-term way is also a key part of Authentic Networking.

Authentic Networking is all about walking into a room and seeing how you can help the people in it, not working out what's in it for you.
